There seems to be no end to the lengths George Lucas is willing to go to whore out my childhood icons. Case in point is the fact that you can find Star Wars characters plastered on all sorts of gear. Sure some of the Star Wars gear is cool, but some of it is of dubious value to the geek community as a whole.

One of the things that I don’t care to see my beloved Star Wars icons on is the Mimobot line. The Mimobot Series 2 included some of the most recognizable icons from Star Wars including Princess Leia, Han Solo, Boba Fet, Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Chewbacca, Stormtrooper and R2-D2.

Mimoco, the company behind the Mimobot’s has announced that it will be releasing a Mimobot Series 3 of Star Wars drives. Exactly what characters will adorn the new drives are unknown and Mimoco is having a contest to see who can guess who will be on the new drives.

To enter you go to the Mimoco forums and register and then leave a post with your single weekly guess. You can make a new guess each week from now until July 22. After the contest is over the people who correctly guess the new character for each week will be entered into a drawing to win the drive. If anyone guesses all the drives in the correct order will win the complete Mimobot series.
