When you drop big bucks on a MacBook or MacBook Pro you want to keep the notebook looking good and working. Part of keeping the notebook working and looking good is to protect it from the bumps, drops and scratches that come with life on the road.

CaseCruzer has announced a new Pelican laptop case specifically designed to house the MacBook Pro or MacBook notebook. The case is called the Apple 1490 laptop case. The 1490 series includes universal style cases as well.

The Apple version has custom molded foam interior and egg crate foam under the lid for ultimate protection of the notebook. The case is water proof, dust proof and protects from shock, drops and crush damage. The case weighs 8.7 pounds empty and measures 19.43” L x 13.93” W x 4.69” H. Pricing for the Apple specific 1490 is unknown, but the universal 1490 cases retail for around $160.
