Canon Introduces Entry-Level EOS Rebel XS DSLR

No one will argue that the digital camera has changed the photography world. Digital camera have made it easier and cheaper for camera users to shoot pictures and print them without the added cost and hassle of having film based pictures developed.
Canon is a major manufacturer of some of the best point-and-shoot and DSLR cameras on the market and today Canon has introduced its new entry-level Canon EOS Rebel XS DSLR. Canon says that the Rebel XS is aimed at the amateur photographer who is looking to upgrade form a point-and-shoot to their first DSLR.
The Rebel XS uses a 10.1-megapixel CMOS sensor and offers a Live View LCD that is 2.5-inches in size and an optical view finder. The camera uses 7-point wide-area autofocus sensor and can shoot continuously at three frames per second until the memory card fills up.
The Rebel XS weighs less than 1 pound for the body only making it the lightest camera in the EOS line. The Rebel XS also uses Canon’s EOS Integrated Cleaning System that takes advantage of both hardware and software dust removal technology. The camera will ship in August for $699.99 and will include an EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens.
